The Knife Angel.
April 2022 - The Smithfield, Hanley, Stoke On Trent.

Thought provoking and emotional, this amazing piece of art is hard hitting.
We visited the Angel the first Sunday of her visit and she is sight to behold, a 27 foot statue made up of 100,000 surrendered knives, of which 1800 derived from Stoke on Trent. Throughout the month of April there will be a month long knife amnesty and educational talks in our schools and educational settings. a huge effort across multi agencies to deter young people from knife crime.
The Angel is also known as a National Monument against Violence and Aggression, created by artist Alfie Bradley and The British Ironworks Centre in Oswestry.
Stoke on Trent is number 19 on the tour, which was started in 2018.
A truly magnificent work of art which carries huge meaning.
An absolute MUST see.
